Alcona County Commission on Aging fights for Lincoln Manor seniors

LINCOLN, Mich. — The Alcona County Commission on Aging is advocating for residents living in the Lincoln Manor apartments.

The commission has reached out to Michigan’s attorney general and filed a complaint.

According to Executive Director, Lenny Avery, the attorney general’s office told him they do not represent individuals but only act as mediators.  Avery said he has contacted their village president and District Health Department No. 2 who explained how bed bugs are categorized.

He said he feels he is being given the run around and is becoming frustrated.

Avery is encouraging the community to get involved by contacting the attorney general’s office and submitting a complaint on behalf of the senior tenants at Lincoln Manor.
