Alcona Chamber of Commerce meeting update

ALCONA, Mich. — The Alcona Chamber of Commerce held their monthly meeting Wednesday.

They discussed Christmas in the village and their newly elected officials.

Alcona Chamber Secretary, Monica Spears, said the newly elected officials have plans to revitalize the chamber and bring fresh and new ideas.  Spears also said Christmas in the Village is still a go but it will look a little different this year.

Crafters are usually in Maria Hall with tables set up but this year the different businesses in the area will host the crafters.  Spears said it is really important to the city that they move forward with Christmas in the Village to maintain a sense of normalcy.  Spears said they are still looking for businesses to host crafters.

The event takes place the first Saturday in December from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
