AHS students get sneak preview of Thunder Bay International Film Fest

Alpena- Students at Alpena High School were able to catch a sneak peak of a few films that will be screened at the 2018 Thunder Bay International Film Festival.

Instructor John Caplis works closely with Friends of Thunder Bay, a nonprofit organization that aids in educational outreach, and helped select the films that students would see. This is the second year that the Film Fest has done a sneak peak for students, hoping to engage and inspire students as well as encourage them to attend the festival. Students can also submit a film to the festival to win prizes. Over 200 students packed into the Beck Auditorium to catch a few minutes of films pertaining to Ocean and Great Lakes issues all over the world. The festival kicks off January 24th through the 28th. Screening sessions are $6 a person.
