AHS Sports Hall Of Famer John Geddert Suspended By USA Gymnastics
Alpena High School sports hall of famer, John Geddert, was suspended by USA Gymnastics on Monday. Multiple gymnasts have come forward with allegations that Geddert’s questionable coaching tactics led to disgraced former USA Gymnastics Doctor Larry Nassar’s ability to garner trust with the gymnasts. ESPN reports that the suspended USA Gymnastics coach has been investigated twice by police for reports of physical assault. WBKB sports reached out to Alpena High School’s Athletic Director, Tim Storch, for comment on Geddert’s Alpena hall of fame status. The school declined to comment. Storch added the school will continue to monitor the situation. Geddert has not been charged with anything.
