Accidental Shooting Sends One Person to the Hospital
One man was found in a painful situation when he shot himself in the upper leg at the Mikado market on Tuesday.
According to the Alcona County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call from the market, and found 32–year–old Jeremiah Alexander Yonuss of Mikado suffering from a self–inflicted gunshot wound.
After performing medical care, Alcona EMS transported Yonuss to Tawas St. Joseph Hospital. The shooting incident is still under investigation, and alcohol appears to be a factor.
The Michigan State Police Alpena Post, Alcona EMS, and Mikado First Responders assisted the Alcona County Sheriff’s Office.
