ACC welcomes new vice president of instruction

ALPENA, Mich. — Alpena Community College welcomes their new vice president of instruction who is on his second day in his new role.  Steven Fosgard, former Dean of Occupational Programs, was previously at Kirtland Community College in Grayling.  His work in higher education encompassed responsibilities as a faculty member and administrator.

Fosgard said the way ACC and other area schools responded to their students during COVID–19 was very impressive and influenced his decision to come on board.

Fosgard said as vice president of instruction some of his duties include overseeing academic integrity and the quality of college programs.  One primary focus for Fosgard is seeing more growth in degree programs.
