ACC makes credit transfers easier
“College staff members are working together to come up with a plan to improve retention. I think that’s an exterior focus for us. How do we do the best job at retaining the students we get?” said ACC President Don MacMaster.
He said he believes enrollment is decreasing because of class scheduling conflicts that’s making it difficult for students to register for additional courses.
In order to combat this issue, the president said he’s making ACC credit transfers easier in partnership with multiple schools in the greater Alpena Township area.
MacMaster also said teachers need to work with students more before they fail or withdraw from a course.
