AARP Volunteers all hands on deck for Tax Season

Alpena, Mich— It’s tax season and that means it’s time to make preparations. Starting February 7th AARP volunteers will be hands on at the Alpena Senior Center for those who need help with filing their taxes. Volunteers will be at the center every Thursday from 9 am until 2:45 pm until March 28th. To make an appointment contact the Alpena Senior Center at 989–356–3585.

Items Needed:

1. Picture ID
2. Social Security Card
3. 2017 Tax Return
4. Heat Bills from 2018
5. Documentation for all income
6. Medical Supplemental Insurance Papers
7. Summer and Winter Property Tax Statements-2018
8. Educational Scholarships and expense receipts
9. Misc. Expenses: Mortagage-1095 A, B, C, or Marketplace exemption letter
10. Actual Check for Direct Deposit Information
