AAACU introduces financial literacy app

ALPENA, Mich. — Alpena Alcona Area Credit Union introduced a new financial literacy app–Zogo.  The app provides an opportunity to learn more about finances and rewards you when you answer the questions correctly.  Some of the winnings include gift cards to places like Walmart, Starbucks, and Target.

AAACU Marketing Specialist Alison Jakubcin said their hope is to target youth and older members in helping them become more financially literate.  Jakubcin adds that the app also teaches you about insurance, home ownership, and auto ownership.

Student Teller, Savannah Serbia described the app as being like a game while learning.  The app already has Serbia preparing for her future.

Jakubcin said dozens of people have already signed up for the free app.  She continues to promote it because she has found that many members lack financial basics.
