AAACU helps students at Ella White Elementary

ALPENA, Mich. – A local business did a good deed for local Alpena students

The Alpena Alcona Area Credit Union made a donation to students in a 2nd grade class at Ella White Elementary.

After a school parent noticed the class needed water bottles, the parent reached out to the credit union and they stepped in to help.

“Due to covid, a lot of students are needing water bottles since we’re not using our drinking fountains to obviously just stop the spread of any kind of germs,” said 2nd grade teacher Anna Markowski. “We had many students who needed water bottles or they would forget theirs.”

Markowski said the credit union also provided the rest of the school with additional bottles as well.

The school’s Principal Tom Berriman gives many thanks to Allison at the credit union as well as Mary Christensen — Cooper for making it all happen.
