ALPENA, Mich.– An Alpena High School student has been diagnosed with COVID–19.
According to a press release from Alpena Public Schools, they were notified of the diagnosis by District Health Department #4 Friday. The school immediately notified all close contacts of the infected student and implemented a targeted quarantine. The student has not been in class since October 8.
Principal Tom Berriman has advised all parents of A.H.S. students to monitor their children for symptoms related to COVID–19.
