ALPENA, Mich. — After a tough loss to Ogemaw Heights last Wednesday, the Alpena Wildcats boys soccer team was in need of a confidence boost. The Wildcats did exactly that on Friday as they rolled past Sault Ste. Marie 4-0 in a non-conference game.
Alpena was able to find the back of the net twice in each half. Junior defenders Abe Brege and Andrew Dargis scored within the first 10 minutes of the match. Mike Clark and Cameron Young each added a goal in the second half to put the icing on the cake.
The Wildcats (4-1-1) will host Tawas on Sept. 9 at 7 p.m.
