ALPENA, MI- Free hotdogs, cotton candy, chips, drinks, face painting and more!
Nicolet National Bank hosted a Community Give Back Day in Downtown Alpena.
The bank joined United Way of Northeast Michigan and The Boys and Girls Club of Alpena to help with this outreach event.
Vice President Retail Banker, Joann Dehring, said they were happy to support such an important organization in Alpena. “We are making a substantial donation to the boys and girls club of Alpena. They are doing free face painting and they have free lunch.”
The city police also joined to discuss law enforcement items with the children. In a time where food security is prominent, free lunch is especially appreciated.
“From the United Way standpoint, we see food insecurity as a big issue in our community. The fact that they are willing to give free lunch to the community is a pretty timely affair.” said Joe Gentry, Executive Director for United Way of Northeast Michigan.
With an expected 500 community members in attendance, the community give back day was a success.
“We love to treat our community and we are very proud to be able to offer this event today.”
