ALPENA, Mich.— District Health Departments No. 2 and No. 4 have issued an emergency order requiring screenings and social distancing precautions to be observed at essential businesses. The emergency order started Monday at noon and will last until April 13th.

This includes Alpena, Montmorency, Presque Isle and Cheboygan counties in District No. 4. Also, Alcona, Oscoda, Oosco and Ogemaw for District No.2.

Each operating business is required to conduct daily screenings of workers and keep record of employee travel and other health related information. Violating the emergency order is punishable by six months jail time or a two hundred dollar fine.
